A team of six journeymen and two apprentices are heading to Calgary on July 16, 2016 for the “other rodeo” in town. Running at the same time as the Calgary Stampede, the annual ENMAX Lineman Rodeo and Safety Expo, in its fifth year, will include American teams in addition to several Canadian-based competitors. This event gives Rokstad Power an opportunity to showcase the technical and physical abilities of their journeyman staff.

The event organizers describe the lineman rodeos as fun for friends and families. They also demonstrate complex skills in a safe environment, which shows everyone what it takes to keep the lights on.

This event is also a place for vendors to showcase the latest technologies, tools and equipment that support the power line and construction industry.

The Rokstad Power Journeyman team consists of:

Sean Custeau
Riley Derkson
Chris Elkie
Kyle Elkie
Donnie Shymco
Ken Szulc

Apprentices Max Shears and Andy Donaldson will join them.

Events include the Pole Climb, Hurt Man Rescue, Cat Rescue, Obstacle Pole, Cross Arm Change and Transformer Change.

Rokstad Power will be live-tweeting highlights including video and images at @RokstadPower.
