The Prospectors & Developers Association of Canada (PDAC) represents the interests of the Canadian mineral exploration and development industry. With Canada being the world leader in mineral exploration and mining, producing more than 60 minerals and metals, it’s no surprise that PDAC is best known for its annual convention, trade show, and investors exchange. Last year, this event attracted 23, 578 attendees from over 100 countries!
This year’s convention takes place from March 6-9, 2016, at the Toronto Convention Centre. Rokstad Power will exhibit at Booth 6209N. Representatives will be on hand to discuss the services the company has provided to the mining industry since 1978 including maintenance activities, overhead or underground, and construction projects in some of the harshest terrain and weather conditions imaginable.
Rokstad Power’s expertise includes Journeymen Linemen Technicians who perform the full range of specialized mining related works:
- Mine Power Distribution: Rebuilds and New Construction
- Major Infrastructure Moves: Sub stations, crushers, lines, etc.
- Greenfield Transmission Line Construction
- Major Shutdown Maintenance
- Emergency Response
- Existing transmission line inspection and maintenance
Exciting happenings at this year’s PDAC convention include the launch of the Realistic Environmentalist North America Tour with Gianni Kovacevic, who will showcase the mined products in the Tesla Model S electric car, and a keynote session on the future of exploration and development into 2026. The Toronto Stock Exchange and TSX Venture Exchange will open and close the market from the Investors Exchange Floor.
With 500 exhibitors registered, there’s much to see at Trade Show North. A selection of visually stunning minerals from the Kirwin Collection, on loan from the Royal Ontario Museum, will be available for everyone to view. Also, De Beers Canada will showcase an assortment of rough, cut and polished Canadian diamonds. Attendees can also celebrate 100 years of history with the Royal Canadian Mint and examine new proprietary anti-counterfeiting technology.
